Am considering being a teacher. The following video,by Taylor Mali, can inspire one to teach.

It addresses the phrase that sticks in the back of my mind when I think about teaching, “Those who can’t do, teach.”

When I was younger I had a certain existentialist angst that seems to have faded behind the need to pay bills. Today I am thinking that one can regain a bit of that youthful angst and add the benefit of wisdom from age and turn it into something new and exciting. Haven’t quit figured out what that is yet.

I want to do something in the creative realm. However often creative and pay the bills don’t often fit in the same sentence. Of course many creative people pay the bills for themselves and many others.

For some reason my brain gets stuck with this thought.

Well it is amazing how, the holidays and a letter from your job saying that you may be unemployed when you return, can sink you into the couch. It is a good time to reflect on what it is one really wants.

The question is, “What can I do with my life, that bests utilizes all or a good portion of my talents and still pay bills?”

Merry Christmas Doors Closing You Might Be “Separated From Employment.”

Last week received a fine Merry Christmas Letter from my job. The gist being; We are closing the doors for three weeks and when you return you may be “Separated from Employment”. Had to laugh when I heard that. The world wide economic downturn has directly affected the company as it has a lot of companies. Guess the best thing about the worldwide economic woe is that my wife and I don’t feel alone anymore. Being how we have been in an economic downturn for sometime. We almost feel like experts. When we talk to people we feel like we may have advice that could help people. My wife pointed out a good thing; when talking to bill collectors, “Well the economic downturn has directly affected my job and I simply don’t have the money to pay the bill.”, the bill collector seems more human in the answer, “Oh I understand, everybody is feeling it.”

It seems as though we have been down when the rest of the world is up. Now am feeling like while the rest of the world is down that we are going to be up. Am putting that thought out there. That we are going to do better economically now than ever before. Then we can help others pull themselves from the doldrums.

I have a job that gives me 4 days off. One would think that you could get a lot done with that much time. However that has not been the case. It is possible that I have ADHD. Now usually I am one that does not like to label people, because it seems they get caught up on the label and use it as an excuse. However it does seem important to know ones self to better oneself and in turn those around you.

At this time am finding it hard to do anything. With bills and debt exceeding what money comes in and our country having the same problem. How does one stay focused on the solution and not just the problem.

Think today may focus on organizing the office.
